The current owners, Paul and Brenda Hickman, have carried on the tradition and ambience of this local fixture for the past 20 years. A stroll through the isles brings back memories of a time when service, knowledge and convenience was something given freely and not packaged in plastic in a big box store. Delightful surprises can be found in every nook and cranny.

The store is always stocked with items such as paint, hardware fixtures, gardening supplies and gadgets to get any job done right as well as gifts and small appliances. Oak Bay Hardware is also the only retailer in Canada for Cornish Blue Pottery and a large selection is available.

The Hickmans have counted on Padgett Business Services to organise their monthly bookkeeping and file their annual taxes for over ten years. They have especially appreciated getting timely answers to all of their questions during Padgett’s twice monthly visits.

Paul and Brenda will be looking towards retirement soon and finding a new owner to carry on this profitable and timeless business. When that day comes, all of Oak Bay will miss them.
