PreTech Collision was established by Stan Van Basten in 1988 and over the past fifteen years has gained a great reputation for high quality auto collision and paint repairs. Stan’s strict attention to quality control has made PreTech the preferred vendor for Honda City’s warranty and post sales customer care service. PreTech’s staff are fully trained in all aspects of collision repair, and ongoing training updates ensure that any make or model brought in broken will leave their shop looking new again.

Equipment in the shop has continually been upgraded over the fifteen years including the latest frame straightening equipment to keep pace with modern automobile construction. Dupont paint products and Dupont computer mixing systems are used for the perfect paint match and colour reproduction.

PreTech is an Express/Valet service provider with ICBC and also works with private insurance companies to provide free collision repair estimates. Using digital cameras and on-line computer technology, they are in direct contact with customer insurance providers for fast approval of repairs. They also offer alternate transportation while customer cars are in for repair with their fleet of courtesy cars and arrangements with local rental companies.

Since switching to Padgett Business Services in 1996, Stan’s sales have increased more that four fold. While it was Stan’s long hours and hard work that can be credited with the increase, Padgett was there every month to help with the back end. Says Stan “I knew what I wanted to do with my business, but keeping current with suppliers and the government was tough. We had to invest in new equipment and expand our facilities and that took cash. Glenn and Chris from Padgett found sources of funding, and over time helped us to manage our growth and our cash flow. Now those things are less of a concern and my attention is focussed on delivering the best quality product possible for today and the future.” Tina Van Basten is Stan’s lovely wife and looks after the internal paper work.
